Naki'o was found in abandon home, frozen in a puddle of water. Due to being frozen in a puddle of water he lost all of his paws and the tip of his tail to frostbite. Luckily a shelter found Naki'o and veterinarian assistant Christie Pace of Colorado Springs in Colorado set up a fundraiser to get him a brand new set of paws. The prosthetics were designed and fitted in a pioneering procedure by Martin Kaufmann, founder of Orthopets - who donated the prosthetics to Naki'o. Now Naki'o can play and run just like any other dog and he has a happy home. :)
