Four chickens do an all-clucking rendition of The Lumineers' "Ho Hey." Featuring Jimmy Fallon, Blake Shelton & Nick Offerman!
103.1 KCDA had the opportunity to do a Sound Check Party with Josh Ritter and the Royal City Band yesterday (Sunday, March 24th) at the Knitting Factory and it was fabulous!
I unfortunately did not get to attend the actual concert (majorly lame) however I enjoyed every last minute of the four songs Josh Ritter performed during his sound check! Josh Ritter has been writing music and performing concerts for years now and the one thing that I couldn’t get over was how kind he was. He was genuinely excited that a group of people were happy to watch him do a sound check and come to his show. So excited and thankful that he hugged every single person that attended and couldn’t say thank you enough. Having worked a handful of these, it’s pretty rare that an artist is that appreciative. I want to thank Josh Ritter for staying so humble and making the experience ten times cooler!
Outside of his stellar manners the four songs he performed for us were incredible. We got to hear “New Lover,” “Joy To You Baby,” “The Appleblossom Rag” and by request of a lady in our group “Curse.”
One of my favorite moments during “Curse” was when Josh Ritter’s daughter (who was behind us with his wife) cooed during the song as he sang. She takes after her dad! The little mini set was intimate and very mesmerizing! I can only imagine how great the show was!
If you went to the show and snapped a picture or have something you want to share we’d love to hear about it! Contact me at email@example.com.
