It hasn't been too long since Morgan Mallory made the move from Portland to take on guitar duties in the Spokane band London Get Down and, currently, lead vocals in Lucid. With inspiration and pointers from his musical parents and training in musical theater, Morgan made the unlikely transition to hard rock and metal. However, once you hear him sing, you will notice a rather epic vocal quality that works well in many genres. Not just a live performer, he is also working on a studio project called "Althea" with Steven Lightfoot. Between his duties as a rock band front man and time in the studio, you can hear him as a singer-songwriter every Tuesday at the Monterey Cafe from 9pm to midnight. He was also a last-minute addition to the recent Second Harvest benefit concert at the Knitting Factory...he brought his guitar and performed on literally an hour's notice! It's this side of his musical psyche that Morgan Mallory will bring to the 103.1 KCDA Local Lounge the day after Christmas, with his acoustic guitar for several live tunes plus a self-produced recording of a deeply personal song.
