The phrase
Le Train Train Quotidien translates from French as "the daily grind." The members work hard at their respective day jobs and find release from the tedium through music, which shows in many of their lyrical themes. Their song "How To Succeed," for example, is a lyrically sparse satire on the pressure to be the best, or a stab at lifelong mediocrity, depending on how you interpret it. Twin brothers Bryce and Kyle (guitar/vocals and drums) have been making music in various forms since the 5th grade. Later, they met with bassist Anthony and gradually refined their sound into its current state. Bryce uses a loop pedal to overlay several guitar parts live, the density building with each added layer. Kyle and Anthony respond with increasing dynamics. Their songs tend to build gradually from a mellow riff into a sometimes molten climax, hitting every level along the way. This Sunday Le Train Train Quotidien will perform eight songs live in the new Local Lounge stage area as a full band. Bryce will be moving to Belgium soon, so this broadcast and their gig at The Empyrean on the following Friday will be the last time you can hear them live for a while, so don't miss out!
