Actually, Post Falls-based Jamal Ali spans R&B, hip hop, soul, and whatever he's listening to currently. He's a singer-songwriter at heart, and he can appreciate that aspect in any genre, including modern country music! As you can see below, he digs classic rock, too, as evidenced by his Led Zeppelin t-shirt. His own style is ear-friendly and driven by both rhythm and melody. You may be surprised by his natural singing voice, which hints at the old-school Motown of a young Stevie Wonder. He's a flexible live performer, too. He can go for a simple vocal and piano set-up at a coffee house or winery, or he can break out his live backing band and rouse an entire club.
