Wow, another year gone!  Having been the producer (talent scout, artist contact, public relations, interview facilitator, audio engineer, voice-over guy, photographer, videographer, and web editor) of the 103.1 KCDA Local Lounge since mid-2007, I've had the pleasure of working with many fine local musicians.  Whether it's pop, rock, indie, funk, soul, hip-hop, reggae, folk, or "other", I take pleasure in accommodating any well-written, well-performed, original music from Spokane and beyond.  The groups that have a solid, local buzz-factor and the emerging artists both have a place here.  On a technical note, in 2011 I've refined my skills at capturing the sound of a fully-amped band live in our studio and have added a multi-camera perspective to the videos, giving a more accurate, intimate frame of reference to the fans, both aurally and visually.  I personally want to thank Northern Quest Resort & Casino for sponsoring the Local Lounge this year...we deeply appreciate their support!
 
 
To showcase the huge variety in local talent that I've featured on the show in this dwindling year, it's time for The Best of the 103.1 KCDA Local Lounge 2011!  This New Year's Day you will hear the top ten artists I've featured this year: a song performed live in our studio plus a bit of chit-chat from each artist.  As before, I'm using Facebook to get some vital input from our listeners.  If you can get to web-enabled computing device before about 8pm this Sunday, it's not too late for you to vote!  Simply log-in to your Facebook account, go to the official 103.1 KCDA Local Lounge Facebook fan page, "like" the fan page, and leave a comment stating your pick.  If you need a refresher, click here to see a list of previous artists on the left side of the page.  That evening, I will determine the best-represented artists on the Facebook fan page, insert a few of my own personal favorites, and chat a bit about the show.
