Having lived in Spokane for two years, midwest native Liz Rognes has established herself as one of the finest local voices.  Writing songs of heartbreak and life's struggles, she sings as an angelic soprano in her upper range, but can get downright soulful in her middle register.  She came by the Local Lounge in early 2010, gearing up for her "Red Flags" CD re-release concert that summer.  Now she's finishing up "Topographies," to be released in early 2012.  To provide a sneak preview, she returned to the 103.1 KCDA Local Lounge to spin a couple early mixes from her forthcoming disc and perform several songs live, accompanied by Rajah Bose (also of Flying Spiders) on fiddle.
