![]() Following her success as a solo artist, Karli (a returning Local Lounge guest) decided to establish a full band with Caleb on the drums. In short order, Max joined on bass and Carrie brought keyboards to the mix. After six months of live performances, they have become a rather democratic collaboration, with Max and Karli both contributing as songwriters, lead singers, and guitarists/bassists. All band members lend superb backing vocals. The resulting sound is rich, artful, and immediately accessible. Lilting melodies and soaring harmonies recall both folk-rock from decades ago and the melodic side of current indie styles. Having recently released their EP (expertly recorded by Caleb with help from Max), they will take the stage at The A Club opening for Rachel Yamagata this Sunday, shortly before they appear on the 103.1 KCDA Local Lounge to perform live as a full band.
