Mon Chéri have made big strides since their last appearance on the Local Lounge nearly a year and a quarter ago.  They have performed countless local shows, gone on tour, received MTV's "Needle in the Haystack" music blog acknowledgment in November,
were voted "Best Original Band of Spokane" by readers of The Inlander in March, and just performed this past Saturday for ElkFest 2011!  But they never rest on their laurels.  Mon Chéri went to work last winter on a new, full-length CD with Grammy award-winning producer Kory Kruckenburg.  They have dubbed their third release "Swoon," as it's sure to make you do just that.  Their sound is all about love, the ups and downs.  With vocal harmonies from Caroline and Patrick and the steady, responsive rhythm section of Kurt and Brandon, Mon Chéri is unstoppable.  Kruckenburg captured them on disc with the casual ambience you would expect at a live show, with a minimum of overdubs and studio enhancements.  Mon Chéri returned to the 103.1 KCDA Local Lounge this past Sunday to get the word out about their "Swoon" CD release concert at The Bing Crosby Theatre this Friday, June 10th, bringing their full band set-up for a few live songs in our studio.
