After nearly a year since their first appearance on the Local Lounge, House of Ghosts will release their full-length album next week, available as digital download, CD, and vinyl LP.  A 33 1/3 rpm record would be a suitable medium for this band, as they draw their steady rhythms and keyboard timbres from 1980s musical influences.  These retro sounds are presented in a modern, chill indie context.  The result is an austere, intricate crescendo with almost-whispered vocals and subtle harmonies...haunting, indeed.  They are set to release their self-titled album on the 11th and perform live at The Bing with Cathedral Pearls on the 14th.  This Sunday, House of Ghosts will spin several CD tracks and perform a couple songs live as an acoustic trio on the 103.1 KCDA Local Lounge.
