A year's worth of public jam sessions has coalesced into a group.  Tommy Gantt, known around town as Tommy G, has united like-minded musicians to form The Nug Jug Band.  They are all about peace, love, and having a good time.  With influences as varied as rock, jazz, blues, hip-hop, and reggae, they find no need to commit to any particular genre.  Tommy continues to fight for social justice, but that doesn't prevent him from writing a heart-felt love song or inspirational tune for his children.  As Tommy G & The Nug Jug Band prepare to open for Iron Butterfly and Magic Carpet Ride at The Grail Venue this Thursday, Tommy will return to the 103.1 KCDA Local Lounge this Sunday, performing a couple acoustic tunes and spinning several recordings from his band's new disc "The Black EP."
