 Starting as a husband-and-wife duo only a year and a half ago, Justin (lead vocals and guitar) and Jen Landis (bass) took on the name Cedar & Boyer, referring to a meaningful location in their home base of Sandpoint, Idaho. With Erin Brannigan on banjo and Weston Grillo on percussion and backing vocals, this four-piece now tours throughout the Northwest. Subdued, minimal arrangements back Justin's voice, which bears a resemblance to the folksy side of Neil Young. Justin also plays bass for the Marshall McLean Band, and C&B perform regularly with Terrible Buttons. This Sunday, Cedar & Boyer will share some EP tracks and live songs in the 103.1 KCDA Local Lounge.

Matthew Sonntag
 Since his first appearance on the Local Lounge in 2008, Matthew Sonntag has found his voice...and he's not afraid to use it. With songs ranging from childhood joy to rebellious young adulthood, his raw vocal delivery allows him to make his feelings clear in the midst of recurring characters and metaphors. He is nearing the completion of his album "Learning Blocks and a Bottle of Gin," in which local producer Jae Ham has created an eclectic backdrop of acoustic and synthesized timbres. This Sunday, Matthew Sonntag will share several tracks from his soon-to-be-released album, along with a couple live acoustic tunes in the 103.1 KCDA Local Lounge.

Bristol
 Bands may come and go, but music, family, and friendship remain constant. Bristol finalized their band name only a couple weeks ago, but the members have been musically active since their early high school days. Brothers Curran and Riley were in Mylestone circa 2005, while Kris and Sean contributed to Beaf, Paper Tigers, and Take The Sky. Now they have combined their styles, resulting in a dynamic electro-acoustic rock band with influences covering the past 20 years. Inspiring lyrics delivered in 3-part harmony soar over large swells of sound. With a couple brand-new studio recordings in hand, Bristol will bring their full band set-up to the 103.1 KCDA Local Lounge this Sunday, getting the word out about their performance at The Bing in May.

Son Of Brad
 Daniel Mills got his start as a professional musician over ten years ago. The grueling life on the road took its toll in the form of a seriously debilitating injury, which kept him from playing guitar for three years. After going back to school and slowly healing, he bravely relearned his instrument and is now back to making music as a full-time labor of love. From performing as a solo artist and in a trio, hosting an open mic, to giving guitar lessons, Daniel is fully immersed in the local music scene. He took on the moniker Son of Brad as a tribute to his father. Dense layers of live-looped guitar rhythms/melodies/creative noise underscore his clear voice. This Sunday on the 103.1 KCDA Local Lounge, Son of Brad will spin his studio track "Sarah" and bring several one-man-band live demos, recorded recently by Aaron Birdsall of Flying Mammals.
