Album Haiku Review | The Fray “Scars & Stories”

Rating|3.5/5

Song’s I Can’t Take Off Repeat| “Heartbeat,” “Turn Me On,” and “I Can Barley Say”

The good with the bad.

It’s an emotional mix.

Piano and Rock.

This album definitely speaks of The Fray. It has their sound and of course their frontman’s (Isaac Slade) distinct vocals. “Scars & Stories” still present’s a Fray piano ballad and plenty of rock songs; even a song to dance too. Being a fan of the Fray I enjoyed the album. It was a sprinkle bit heavier than their past albums, but I think that was a nice touch. They know how to rock when its called for and bring it down when needed. I will add that being able to see the band perform a few of their new songs live was an extra treat. If you enjoyed the Fray’s first two albums “How To Save A Life” and “The Fray,” I am sure you will like this one too.
